Our April Share The Plate recipient, the Butterfly Effect Project received $180.00, thanks to your generosity. Sunday, May 18th we were treated to another visit from their inspiring founder, Tijuana Fulford. She spoke briefly about the “over 600 boys and girls across 31 in-school and out-of-school chapters” served by the organization. Four “Butterflies” shared their own … Continue reading June 2025

May 2025

On Earth Day we hosted “Gardening for Change.” There was a leaf cleanup contest pitting a rake against a leaf blower, then a panel discussion moderated by Mark Haubner.  The Share the Plate recipient in April was “The Butterfly Effect Project”. There are still “Thinking of You” cards to sign in support of their work. … Continue reading May 2025

April 2025

Our Share the Plate (STP) recipient for this month will be the Butterfly Effect Project. They have suffered recent harassment, bigotry and threats. Moral support from their community is important at this time.  “Thinking of You” cards will be available to sign at the April 6th & 13th services. As we do a lot of … Continue reading April 2025

March 2025

We’re distributing “Know Your Rights” handouts in English and Spanish at all SAC meetings. A large number were given out at the SAC table during the Southold Winterfest. If you know people who need this information or anyone who could post it, there are copies on the SAC table near the back door. If you … Continue reading March 2025

November 2024

Now that we have been in our building for a few weeks, the Building Team and the Board are working on resolving the issues we’ve noticed with our new space.  Hopefully, they will all be resolved quickly. Don’t forget our rewilding of the contemplative garden, November 20th at 1 PM.

October 2024

Not much to report this month. We’ve had several services at our Gathering Space “On the Bend” and everyone is delighted. We do have a few things that need addressing and are working on them.  Don’t forget the Dedication Ceremony, Sunday, October 6 at 4:00PM.  Hope to see you there!

August 2024

The Building Team really doesn’t have anything new to report, which is WONDERFUL NEWS!  We will let everyone know when we will be having our grand dedication ceremony as soon as we are able. (In fact, the Opening Committee has been meeting in the new building and can report it’s marvelous!)

July 2024

Are you as excited as we are?  We are so close to moving into our beautiful new home.  The contractors are crossing the remaining proverbial T’s and dotting the proverbial I’s (so many T’s and I’s!) as we prepare to take this monumental next step in the life of our congregation.  We have a group … Continue reading July 2024

June 2024

Driving past our lovely new building, you may have noticed the first layer of our parking lot has been laid. Ongoing work includes the landscaping and other site work.  Most everything within the building has been completed. As usual, the Building Team is asking for everyone’s patience as the final items on the project’s checklist … Continue reading June 2024

May 2024

The Building Team is almost finished, as our project gets closer to completion. Just a few more final steps until we can move “back home.”  We want to thank Brian Davis, Ray Calamari, Scott Edgett and his crew at North Fork Woodworks, and especially everyone who held our dream of rebuilding close to their hearts.
