The North Fork Action Center, that we host at 4PM on the 4th Sunday of each month, has organized an event for Friday, May 1st, from 3 to 7PM.
- 3-4 pm self-guided education and entertainment. Enjoy videos about protest music from different eras and short political documentaries, plus an art exhibition.
- 4-6 pm lecture series (with intermission)
- Money and the American Way: The Constitutional Right to Become an Oligarch by Albert W. Alschuler, retired criminal law professor
- History of Labor Rights by Michael Zweig, Professor Emeritus of Stony Brook, founding director of the Center for Study of Working-Class Life
- Transformations brought about by Americans organizing in the modern era by Abigail Field, local attorney and lifelong activist
- 6-7 pm hotdog party in the backyard. Enjoy food (beef + vegan) and interesting conversation!
