In August 2024, the First Universalist Church of Southold adopted a new name, Unitarian Universalists of Southold. This is to reflect our carrying forth the Unitarian tradition as well as our original Universalist tradition, and the merger of associations (Unitarian Universalist Association) establishing a non-creedal faith tradition in 1961, and to be welcoming of people whose traditions have a place of worship called something other than a church. It also coincides with the rebuilding of our house of worship, dedicated October 6th, 2024. A new domain name has been chosen, uusouthold.org, replacing the previous one firstuniversalistsouthold.org, with redirects being added.
