The Building Team held a Question and Answer session January 30 with our architect, Raymond Calamari, and our owner’s representative, Brian Davis, after the Sunday service. There were several well-thought-out suggestions made from the congregation. (A video of the session has been loaded onto the Church’s Facebook page and this is a link to the video on YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ianH-Xn7zTU) Subsequently, the BT met again with Mssrs. Davis and Calamari via Zoom, where those ideas were addressed and updates examined.  In addition, there was a “Kitchen Task Force” assembled to discuss the layout of the kitchen in the new building. The suggestions generated have been incorporated into one of the more important functions of our new church. Mr. Calamari continues to deal with Southold Town permitting and is
confident we will be breaking ground this spring. The BT will be meeting again in early March and will have another Q&A session with the congregation soon after.
