The Building Team, along with the kitchen design committee, met with Scott Edgett, Ray and Brian at Southold Flooring to choose floor treatments for the meeting hall and hallways, tiling for the bathrooms, and carpeting for the chancel. Then, after a lunch provided by North Fork Woodworks (thanks, Rachel!), we moved on to Cabinets Plus in Aquebogue to choose counter tops, kitchen cabinets, hardware and fixtures. There was a lot of discussion for each option, but we’re confident we’ve made the right choices.
Ray and Brian meet bi-monthly with NFWW to assess what they’ve accomplished and as of their last report, we’re about nine days ahead of schedule! And we’re sure you’ve driven past the site of the building; doesn’t it look great, with the roofing, the exterior wainscotting and most of the windows? The rest of the windows should be delivered the first week of November and then the siding will start. Once the building is “buttoned up,” the finish work on the interior will commence.
